Temple Fusion Bellydance
A dance technique incorporating Bellydance, Classical Indian dance, and
Contemporary dance fusions
Monique has been a pioneer in the development of this feminine fusion dance form since 2010. Having trained in numerous classical, folkloric, and contemporary dance forms from around the world since she was a child, Monique brings together her lifelong experience in movement, dance, and fitness into a comprehensive and approachable practice and art form.
As a mother, wife, and householder, Monique shares this practice as a means for woman to feel truly empowered and self-realized, strong and beautiful in their bodies, elevated in spirit, and sensually inspired in their feminine radiance.
Belly Barre
Dance Fitness
A dynamic dance fitness class blending barre strength conditioning with hand and ankle weights, yoga-inspired stretches, and fluid belly dance movements to stay supple and in our feminine grace.
This all-in-one workout builds strength, flexibility, and mobility while being energized and inspired by eclectic music. The perfect balanced workout for toning, flowing, and having fun!
Recommended props:
Ideally a set of light (1-5 lb) and a set of heavy (5-10 lb) hand weights
2-5 lb ankle weights
Optional pilates ball, resistance bands, and ballet barre
Dance of Devotion
aka Devotional Lyrical Dance
This class is an exploration into mystical devotional dance from a Christian lens, but incorporates some movements inspired by other traditional mystical world dances (Persian, Sufi, Hindu, ect).
We will be dancing to primarily Christian worship music, which ultimately can be experienced and enjoyed by women of all faiths as a testimony to our shared devotion to God. We will incorporate simple lyrical movements, gestures, and acts of embodied prayer in order to convey the message of faith through the graceful and impassioned movement of our body temples.
For women of all levels and ages.
Attire: long, flowing skirts recommended
